Making Traditional Gesso Panels for Egg Tempera Painting

Here’s a rough edit of my process for making traditional gesso panels with Rublev’s Easy Gesso. I like how easy this product is to use and have had no problems so far using it.

Egg tempera is a delicate and historic medium that rewards patience and sensitivity of application. I’ve done most of my research on this medium on my own online or by reading Koo Schadler’s book. I’m always looking for other tips and ideas for process and materials so if you have any experience with this medium and would like to offer advice I’m all ears!
