नरेन्द्र मोदी राष्ट्रीय राजनीति में आने के पहले से एक ब्रांड बन चुके थे। वह भाजपा के या कहें कि भारतीय राजनीति के एकमात्र नेता हैं जो अपनी पार्टी के लिए अतिरिक्त वोट लेकर आते हैं। यानी ऐसे भी मतदाता हैं जो भाजपा को सिर्फ़ इसलिए वोट देते हैं क्योंकि नरेन्द्र मोदी उसके नेता हैं । यही बात उन्हें ब्रांड बनाती है । विपक्ष के पास ऐसा कोई नेता नहीं है। इसलिए विपक्ष की कोशिश रहती है कि लोकसभा चुनाव प्रेसिडेंशियल न बनने पाए। उसे मालूम है कि ऐसा हुआ तो मोदी को रोकना संभव नहीं होगा। इसलिए इस बार विपक्ष ने प्रयास पूर्वक ऐसा नहीं होने दिया । इस वजह से वह भाजपा को स्पष्ट बहुमत की संख्या के नीचे रखने में कामयाब हुआ। चुनाव नतीजे आने के बाद से इस बात का विश्लेषण हो रहा है कि ब्रैंड मोदी क्या अब भी प्रासंगिक है।
