The Cambridge Society of Paris invited The Cambridge Union to a Challenge Debate in Paris.
The motion was “This House believes that we shall have a post human economy run by robots with artificial intelligence within twenty years”
Andrew Lyndon-Skeggs, the president of the Cambridge Society of Paris, was delighted when Jonah Surkes, the president of the Cambridge Union, immediately accepted the challenge.
The Cambridge Union is the oldest continuously running debating Society in the world
This debate was a truly historic event because it was the first time ever in its 160 year history that the Cambridge Union had debated outside the UK.
The debate took place at the Travellers Club, in the magnificent Hôtel de la Païva, 25 Avenue des Champs Elysées, Paris on Saturday 27th January 2018
