Here’s how to spend two days in Dublin (with kids!) while also fighting extreme jet lag 😂

💜SAVE this post for your future trip to Ireland 🇮🇪

📍Stay: Hyatt Centric The Liberties, Dublin. Great location within walking distance of the city center, and right across the street from St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

🇮🇪 Do: Go to bed at 6pm, only to have the kids wake up at 11pm—full of energy for the next day!

☕️ Struggle in darkness for the next eight hours, trying to get them back to sleep, and when you DO finally wake up for the day, grab a coffee (or two) at a cozy, dark wood, cafe down a side street , and then stroll down to St Stephen’s Green to let be kids run around by the lake.

🎶Next, head to Grafton Street to enjoy all the street buskers playing music outdoors, as well as the bustling shops.

📚Form there find your way to Hodges Figgis bookstore for three stories of games and books before grabbing an early dinner at Darkey Kelly’s pub for some Guinness, stew, bangers and mash, live music and real good craic.

🏛️On Day 2, visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral (there’s also a small playground in the park next door), before grabbing burgers at Bunsen for lunch, then heading over to the EPIC Museum for an interactive look at Irish emigration. The kids were actually super engaged, and it’s the perfect stop for the entire family to learn a little about Ireland.

🚲Honorable mentions (which we didn’t do): Rent bikes and ride around Phoenix Park, or, if it’s a nice day, take the train all the way out to Howth for a walk along the coast.
