Queensland police are searching for a missing 15-year-old girl from Middle Park today after she was last seen at a fast food outlet in Brisbane City’s Queen Street Mall district on January 1st. This comes only days after a renewed appeal from police seeking another missing 15 year old girl from the neighbouring suburb of Bellbird Park in Brisbane’s south west. She was last seen at a Goodna service station around 8:30pm on December 13th. There is no known link between the two missing girls at this time, although there are concerns for the welfare of both girls.

It’s too early to establish a motive in the new years eve slaying of a Trujillo Alto couple and their twin 9 year old sons, Puerto Rico police have said. The family, who are survived by their 16 year old son who was jailed last week on carjacking charges, were celebrating the arrival of the new year with family before return home where they were Ambushed by the unknown attackers. The lead detective on the case has stated he is considering all lines of inquiry but suggests gang related reprisal against the elder son are a strong possibility.

And to the UK now where London’s MET police are seeking information, after the December 18th assault on a 39 year old man lead to his death. Lee Styles was found unconscious in Fishponds Park, beaten and suffering serious head injuries. He was treated by paramedics at the scene and transported to hospital but later died. Mr Styles post-mortem, held on December 23rd established his death was a result of blows to the head and homicide detectives officially took over the case on December 27th.
