In open surgery, a cut is made in the groin to repair the hernia. Laparoscopic surgery involves small incisions near the belly button. It offers several benefits:

- Better View: We can easily check the other side for a developing hernia, which occurs in 15% of cases.

- Additional Checks: We can also examine other structures in the abdomen to make sure they are well-positioned.

- Faster Recovery: Small incisions mean your child is back to normal in a few days.

- Less Pain: The child experiences less fear and pain.
