Harbor Freight - Central Pneumatic 6 Gallon Professional Oilless Air Compressor Review

This is a review of the Harbor Freight 6 Gallon 1.5 HP 150 PSI Professional Air Compressor, Item # 62380/67696.

This is a great, medium sized portable air compressor for the price. It comes with an ASME safety relief valve and quick-disconnect fitting, as well as tank and tool pressure gauges with regulator.

It does everything it is advertised to do, at a lower price than most of the competition. It's great for moderate carpentry work, and can run a brad nailer or even finish nailer alike. Don't expect to build an entire house with this compressor, as it does not have a large enough tank. This is a great compressor for say a finish nailer, airbrush, or even for use with a blowgun to clean dust from items such as computers. It also works to fill up tires with air.

The oilless design does indeed give you lower maintenance, but the longevity of an oilless pump is not that of a compressor that uses oil (this is explained in detail in the video).

Its size makes it easy to carry around, and it's not heavy at all. All around a great compressor for the price.

Make sure you purchase a compressor that has adequate air capacity for the work you are doing. I suggest you read the manual for this compressor before buying (available on Harbor Freight's website) to see what it is capable of running, or do a Google search for what size compressor is adequate for the work you will be doing.
