Plaza de España ("Spain Square", in English) is a plaza in the Parque de María Luisa (Maria Luisa Park), in Seville, Spain. It was built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929.

Designed by Aníbal González, the Plaza de España in Seville is a captivating blend of 1920s Art Deco, Spanish Renaissance, Baroque, and Neo-Mudéjar styles. The half-circle complex, connected by bridges over a moat, symbolizes Spain's ancient kingdoms, with the Vicente Traver fountain at its center.

Tiled alcoves represent Spain's provinces, serving as popular backdrops for visitors' photographs. Adjacent covered bookshelves operate as "Little Free Libraries," offering information and donated novels about each province.

Today, the Plaza houses government offices, adapted for modern use. Former fair mansions at the park's end have become museums, featuring Roman artifacts from nearby Italica.

Beyond its cultural significance, Plaza de España has a cinematic history, appearing in Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Star Wars: Episode II (2002), The Dictator (2012), and the 2023 Netflix series Kaos. It also set the stage for Simply Red's "Something Got Me Started" music video.

In essence, Plaza de España stands as a testament to Spain's architectural brilliance and cultural richness, seamlessly intertwining the past and present for global admiration.
