I’m not going to lie…

When I made the team I had maybe a week or two to sit in my excitement until it was time to get to work!! If you’re not used to having a busy schedule or don’t like one….don’t even think about auditioning!
Summer Band/Dance Camp
Learning 50-100+ Counts
Learning a new walk
Keeping your mouth closed because not everyone needs to be in your business 👀👀
Not being able to attend every party or event
Less time for friends and boo thangs
Still maintaining your grades/classes
Always being around women with different personalities
Adjusting to a new skill
Adjusting to a new coach
Adjusting to being on your own
Making sure you are eating properly
Not crashing out….

I think you get the point!! There’s so much that dancers don’t expect or some do… but it’s still NEW! And if you don’t keep your relationship with God and mental health in check, YOU WILL CRASH OUT!

Take it from someone who did 😭 I’m not saying it’s not worth it and it can’t be done, but I am warning you so you can know what’s in store and do what you need to stay sane!

Don’t be intimidated, instead start working NOW on
Building a strong relationship with God
Time Management
Being open minded
Staying true to your morals
Learning to say NO
Learn how to catch on to choreo fast
Learn how to practice outside of practice….and so much more!
