How to catch fish and find fishing locations in Monster Hunter: World.

To catch your first fish in Monster Hunter: World you need to complete the first few story tutorials and get to the Ancient Forest. This is the first open world area in the game where you can explore freely.

Just in the first area of the Ancient Forest is a small pond with fish. A Piscine Researcher will be standing next to it and is also marked on the map. Select your fishing rod with the D-Pad and cast it into the pond with RT/R2. If a fish bites you feel a rumble and can reel it in by pressing B/Circle. And that's your first fish in Monster Hunter: World.
