Strategy: 3x giga drain, taunt, psych up. wait for torterra to attempt and fail to use shell smash a 2nd time. terastalize into giga drain. giga drain when you need HP. 2-3 calm mind, giga drain to victory.

Pros: supereffective tera type matching base type, decent HP stat. good defense stat. excellent special attack and special defense stats, outspeeds torterra after using psych up. resists smack down before terastalizing, resists earthquake, earth power, and wood hammer. no weaknesses. taunt prevents torterra from using shell smash a 2nd time. psych up copies torterra's speed and special attack buffs from shell smash. calm mind buffs special attack 1 stage and special defense 1 stage. taunt blocks torterra from using shell smash a 2nd time. giga drain has 75 base power, 100 accuracy, deals supereffective STAB (tera-boosted when terastalized) damage. it heals an amount equal to 50% of damage dealt. metronome boosts damage by a factor that increases with consecutive attacks (1x,1.2x,1.4x,...).

Cons: can't buff defense or debuff attack.
