We went to the SAIL Amsterdam boat parade, where you can hop on a ship, walk around, and even explore the engine room. We were truly amazed this was our first time seeing a real ship engine room up close, and it was such an incredible experience. The event also had live music and a great variety of food to enjoy. There were mini shops selling souvenirs, art, and of course, the famous Dutch cheese.

We also visited the Alkmaar Cheese Festival, one of the oldest and largest cheese markets in the Netherlands. It features traditional cheese carriers in costume, along with cheese weighing and trading, plus stalls selling local cheeses, souvenirs, and food. One special moment was when our son Julio was chosen to help place a block of cheese, and it was even aired on a local TV channel. Overall, it was a great experience, and we had so much fun making these unforgettable memories.
