Do Jin reviews “Murmur of the Heart (French: Le souffle au cœur)” a 1971 French comedy-drama film, written, produced and directed by Louis Malle. Written in Malle's semi-autobiographical form, the film tells the coming-of-age story of a 14-year-old boy who grows up in a bourgeois environment in post-World War II France, entangled in a complicated relationship with the his attractive Italian mother. The film stars Lea Massari, Benoît Ferreux, Daniel Gélin, Michael Lonsdale, Ave Ninchi and Gila von Weitershausen.
