Planet Earth Unique & beautiful Is made up of iron, oxygen, silicon, sulfur, magnesium, sodium, nickel, calcium, and aluminum.
While all of these elements are found on other planets they are only found in trace amounts. The majority of elements found on other planets are helium and hydrogen.
On the contrary, 90% of Earth is made up of iron, oxygen, silicon and magnesium.
Earth is the only planet in The Solar System whose English name does not come from Greek or Roman mythology. The name was taken from Old English & Germanic. It simply means "the ground." There are, of course, many names for our planet in the thousands of languages spoken by the people of the third planet from The Sun.

Earth's Moon With a diameter of about 3,475 km is more than one-quarter (about 27%) of Earth's diameter, making The Earth-Moon System more like a double planet than a typical Planet-Moon System. It's the largest & most massive natural satellite of its planet in Our Solar System. The Moon's massive size & gravity have a significant influence on Earth, causing tides & affecting weather patterns.
The Moon is Earth's only Natural Satellite, orbiting at an average distance of 384,400 km (238,855 miles) & taking about 27.3 days to complete one orbit. It’s a rocky, cratered body about a quarter the size of Earth, with no atmosphere.

In contrast, most other moons in the solar system are tiny in comparison to their host planets. Earth's Moon is unusually big because it has the largest moon-to-host-planet size ratio in The Solar System making The Earth-Moon System almost like a double planet.
Notwithstanding. the four moons in The Solar System are larger in absolute size than Earth's Moon (Jupiter's Ganymede, Saturn's Titan, Jupiter's Callisto & Jupiter's Io), all orbit gas giant planets that dramatically dwarf their moons in mass & size.
In essence, Earth having such a large moon relative to its own size is highly unusual within our Solar System & is considered a critical factor in the development & stability of life on Earth.
