Early spring work. This year I had a lot of trees that were growing out and needed work but I had limited time to wire or do initial stylings. So I did a lot of pruning to prevent the trees from growing out too much. I’m not sure how I feel about the subalpine for bonsai as it looks so jacked up but my hope is that it’ll grow into itself and I’ll find that valence between natural bonsai and tradition form.
