Who I Am?

I’m Joe Mynhardt — publisher, editor, and founder of the multiple-award-winning Crystal Lake Publishing. For over a decade, we’ve worked with incredible authors, artists, filmmakers, and game designers to bring dark, unforgettable stories to life, be it in the form of books, comic books, or games. I was actually recently invited to travel from South Africa to the Horror on Main convention in Pennsylvania to represent Crystal Lake in the publishing landscape. And now, we want to bring you into the conversation.

Along with several industry pros, we’re going to present to you not just a channel, but a community where fans can meet their favorite creators. Where authors, artists, and storytellers can learn from each other, share ideas, and grow together. It’s a home for those who not only love dark and mysterious worlds… but also want to build them."

Every Thursday we’ll post a video about books, and every Friday about Creators, whether it’s an interview, presentation, on writing workshop, or an in-depth discussion on some of our greatest authors, alive or…undead. I’ll dive deep into my contact book to bring you top of the line interviews with actors, directors, authors, artists, and even puppeteers and graphic designers from some of our favorite movies. Even makeup artists. I want to hear and share with you the story behind every great project. Every great movie, book, or cultural phenomenon we hold close to our hearts.

We’re here to promote the real people behind your favorite stories. In a world increasingly powered by AI, we aim to spotlight the human side of creativity and share every step of the creation process.
