The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V comes with three riding modes, namely Urban, Sport and Rain. The modes may be switched on the move although the throttle has to be closed. The engine responds well and the power and torque come down in the rain and urban modes. The engine map is different for every single riding mode. Riding modes are not immediately visible at lower speeds although the sport mode functions nicely when you increase your speed. In the rain and urban modes, the rev limiter comes in at 8,000 rpm and the sport mode enables red-lining the engine at 9,000 rpm.
