In 2023, 2 lessons jumped out to me, and both of them are oldies but goodies.

There are simply too many people involved in developing and constructing buildings to know everything that's going on. Even if you try, things are far too easy to fudge, so TRUST is the first principal that we fall back on.

Secondly, I've always balanced finances with building costs, but these last few years, with everything getting SO much more expensive (interest rates, inflation, rising material and labor costs), it's more than you can simply ignore. We need to plan for it. Figuring out better ways to do this was a big part of 2023, and at this point, I don't want to draw anything without having that high-level understanding of a project and it's finances.
