Power Couple…Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. and Congw. Lani Mercado

TEAM (The Entertainment Arts & Media) had an audience with the power couple (Sen. Bong Revilla & Congw. Lani Mercado), where they shared the secret of their 38-year marriage and now awaiting for their 8th grandchild. Although admittedly they argue once in a while, a normal scene among married couple, Sen. Bong said that they make sure to resolve any misunderstanding within the day.
“Kung mainit Ang ulo ng isa, tatami yung isa, then after a while we talk,” shared the seasoned politician who has served the people for 30 years. And among his achievements as a lawmaker is the Centenarian Law (with amendments), and the Anti-No Permit, No Exam Act.
How do they relax in spite of their demanding political careers? “We always go to our farm in Tagaytay,” said the lady politician. “dun kasi tahimik at marami kaming fruit-bearing trees na Naha-harvest na namin ngayon. And for me, we always find time to spend together kahit in middle of our busy schedule.”
