In this interview, Pat Garcia-Gonzalez, the co-founder and CEO of The Max Foundation, Seattle, WA, highlights the foundation's mission to accelerate health equity and bring innovative medicines to patients worldwide, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Ms Garcia-Gonzalez highlights the foundation's success in establishing programs like Max Access Solutions, which has helped over 100,000 patients access treatment for chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and other diseases over the past 22 years. The foundation is expanding its efforts to more diseases, including rare diseases such as paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), and investing in infrastructure in countries where access to diagnostic tools and treatment is limited. This interview took place at the 2nd International PNH Interest Group (IPIG) Conference in Paris, France.
