A Tornado Watch is now in effect for East and Southeast Texas until 9PM.

This includes:
• Houston metro
• Galveston
• Bay City
• Beaumont / Golden Triangle
• Huntsville
• Tyler, Longview, Marshall
• Much of East Texas

Storms are moving east at around 40 mph and may intensify this evening.

Possible threats include:
• Damaging wind gusts over 60 mph
• Hail
• Heavy rain
• A few brief tornadoes

A severe thunderstorm warning is currently in effect near Tyler and Longview, where winds over 60 mph have already been reported.
Flash flooding earlier in North Texas means creeks and streams remain elevated.
