🏔️ Alveus Adventures is a 5-part documentary series releasing every Thursday 12pm CT where we travel across the country to other animal conservation facilities!

In this episode we visit The GarLab — a fish conservation lab in Minnesota that focuses on less appreciated fish such as gars and bowfins, on which there is little to no research relative to more popular game fish like bass and trout.

While gars aren't technically the "world's oldest fish," they're the slowest-evolving jawed fishes, so they've remained the same for a really long time and aren't changing much anytime soon.
