The 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) The 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, honouring the best achievements in film and television performances for the year 2022, were presented on the 26th February 2023 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, California.

Everything Everywhere All at Once ultimately won the most awards of the ceremony with four wins, the most for any film in SAG Awards history. Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan both becoming the first Asian actors to win in individual categories: Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, respectively. Jamie Lee Curtis won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role as Deirdre Beaubeirdre in the film.

Stars opted to wear gowns in every shade of rose, from soft pastels to neon brights. After first popping up on the runway at brands like Valentino and Versace last year, pink continues to be one of the biggest trends of award show season.

Jessica Chastain and Ariana DeBose complemented the bolder hues of their gowns with a clean, sculptural silhouette so as to let the color really take center stage, while Kathryn Newton and Stephanie Hsu played with volume to pump up the drama for this big night. And others, such as Zendaya and Abby Elliot, played into the femininity of the color by adding on even more girly details in the form of rosettes and marabou. Every dress had a slightly different take on the trend, but judging by the sea of pink out there on the red carpet, one thing's for sure: the Barbie-core aesthetic is still going very strong.
