Harvest APRICOTS With Me! |Back To Eden Gardening|

So this tree started growing out of nowhere(a seed germinated from our cultivated apricots bought from the nursery) and we transplanted it to a sunny, permanent spot. When it got old enough to bear fruit, it was producing buckets and buckets of it. Later on, it got sick and stopped blossoming and setting fruit. It had very weak foliage and would barely come out of dormancy. The branches even had fungi on it. I had an idea of what the issue was: It's root system was constantly being disturbed due to the tilling that was happening in order to plant some root crops underneath it. I banned all digging under it and last late fall, during its dormancy period, I blanketed its root zone with a thick layer of wood chips. Come spring, the tree awoke with hundreds and hundreds of blossoms that set fruit and the tree grew vigorously. I think it is here to stay and bless us with its abundant fruit once more(:
