DIY Instructions Free Motion Rollers Indoor Cycling Rollers

Описание к видео DIY Instructions Free Motion Rollers Indoor Cycling Rollers

This is a followup to daggodog's video "Roll Your Own Stand" on same subject. That video is here:    • Roll Your Own Roller Stand

On this more comprehensive video we build a frame and tensioning kit to give your indoor cycling rollers free-motion. Once you ride these you will not ride static rollers again because by allowing the rollers to move forward and back you obtain a much smoother spin, thus decreasing inimical force on the knees, especially when hammering or changing tempo or riding out of the saddle (experts only).

We made this with about $40 in materials, a saw and a drill. Don't get hung up on exact materials. We scrapped two rigs together using different stuff and they both work great. The key is channeling your "inner handyman," and plan a trip or two to the hardware store.

A) 20' of 1.5 x .75 or similar dimensions and of pine or other inexpensive wood.
B) 14 feet of 2.5 x .75 inch wood.
C) 30 or so 1-1.5 inch wood screws, depending upon your wood dimensions, flush setting heads.
D) Bolts for the roller wheels, and two hooks (see vid)
E) 4 Bungie Cords
F) Some used (or new) roller blade wheels. I got mine off ebay for $10
G) A set of working CycleOps rollers, though another brand should work too.
