Reaction with Acids | Chemistry

Metals above the copper in the reactivity series can react with dilute acids to form metal salts and hydrogen. The higher up the series the more vigorous the metals will react. Reactive metals can displace any metal less reactive than itself from the oxide, chloride, or sulfate of the less reactive metal in solution or their molten state. If metal A displaces metal B from its solution, it is more reactive than B.
