Описание к видео Overcoming Barriers to Better Mental Health in the Older Asian Community

Mental health challenges often go under-recognized and undertreated in the Asian community—particularly among older adults. Stigma, cultural beliefs, and limited access to care continue to be significant barriers to both recognizing symptoms and seeking treatment. This talk explores the unique mental health needs of older Asian adults, examines the role of stigma in shaping attitudes toward mental illness, and highlights effective, culturally sensitive interventions that can support both individuals and the broader community.
