Purple Kittens’ is the new album from Kimberley Rew & Lee Cave Berry. Rew is the former guitarist and main songwriter of Katrina & The Waves, and Robyn Hitchcock’s right-hand man in The Soft Boys. Cave-Berry is a singer, bassist and songwriter, and Kim’s wife. Release date: 18/6/21.

I can be any woman (Lee)
I wrote this song when Kim and I were in our first year together. The very first pilot of Star Trek has a story where the leading lady can become any woman Captain Pike (Jeffery Hunter was the first Star Trek Captain Pike) wants .. I think I may have been channeling that. It didn’t make the cut for Spring Forward, but listening to it twenty years later when tidying up my music files, Kim and I thought it had something. It totally came alive in the studio. I love Ranjan’s Carnatic guitar, Kim’s guitar, and Liam's drums on it. Paul Foulsham has done a brilliant job of the video and my friends, Claudia, Amy, Phili, Marina and Dawn all have starring roles .. I'm so lucky.. what a team!
