Welcome back to my channel! Today's video is all about affordable meals that your whole family will enjoy. We are not sacrificing taste at all in any of these recipes. Each meal was $5 or less bringing the weekly total on this budget challenge to $20. You can absolutely adjust these meals to fit your family and I will give you options on how to do that throughout this video. RECIPES FROM $5 DINNER VIDEO:
Copycat Taco Casa Chiladas:
1 can of refried beans - .89
1 can of enchilada sauce - 1.75
Tortillas - 1.45
Shredded Cheese - 1.89 (for the whole bag and you will only use around 1/3 of it)
TOTAL: $5.98
Place enough enchilada sauce in the bottom of your dish to coat it. Add refried beans, a spoonful of enchilada sauce and cheese into each tortilla, roll, and place seam side down in casserole dish. Top chiladas with remaining enchilada sauce and more shredded cheese. Cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.

Sausage Biscuits & Gravy
Sausage - 2.09
Biscuits - 1.06
Eggs - 1.00
Flour (pantry item)
Milk (pantry item)
TOTAL: $4.15
Brown your sausage until it is cooked completely through. Add 1/4 cup of flour to sausage (do not drain grease that is where your flavor is). Cook until flour is no longer visible and then add 2 and a half cups of milk. Bring to a simmer and let thicken. Add black pepper and a pinch of salt to taste. Cook biscuits according to package directions.

Tortilla Pizza
Tortillas - $1.45
Pizza Sauce - .95
Mozzarella Cheese - .94 (half a bag only)
Pepperoni - 2.00
TOTAL: $5.34
Spray tortilla with olive oil and crisp in 350 degree oven. Remove and add your pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and any other additional toppings. Return to oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.

Bean & Cheese Sheet Pan Nachos
Chips - 1.00
Refried Beans - 0.89
Queso - 2.25
Jalepenos (optional) - .76
TOTAL: $4.90
Add chips to a foil lined sheet pan for easy clean up 😉. Top with refried beans, queso, and jalapeños. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. We like to top ours with hot sauce and sour cream.
