Railfanning San Clemente (North Beach) - 6/27/15

For a while now I've always been interested in checking out the San Clemente (North Beach) Metrolink Station, but other locations have been higher priorities for me until this Saturday, so I decided to railfan the very first train in the early morning and finished up during the later part of the morning. The morning started off fairly nice, but like any weather at the coast, it became overcast for the rest of the day and even began raining after I finished railfanning. Metrolink has two San Clemente stations stops as of their most recent timetable. The first is San Clemente (otherwise known as San Clemente North Beach), and the second one is the more popular San Clemente Pier within the "San Clemente Pier Bowl". Both stations are literally only one mile apart and are within walking distance of each other.

Train 1 : Amtrak 763 with CabCar #6903 & F59PHI #463. Early bird gets the worm as they say !

Train 2 : Amtrak 562 with F59PHI #453 & CabCar #6905. Pretty clean looking locomotive for today's operations.

Train 3 : Amtrak 565 with NPCU #90230 & F59PHI #458.

Train 4 : Metrolink #661 with CabCar #675 & MP36PH-3C #896. Pretty cool conductor on Metrolink #661 as always !

Train 5 : Amtrak 564 with F59PHI #461 & CabCar #6952.

Train 6 : Metrolink #857 with CabCar #680 & MP36PH-3C #890. Talk about a station platform that needs expansion !

Train 7 : Amtrak 567 with CabCar #6906, F59PHI #456, & #464.

Train 8 : Amtrak 566 with F59PHI #462, B32-8WH #510, & CabCar #6951. Neat looking consist for today's run, especially with B32-8WH #510 and two private railcars ! First time catching this locomotive and a long time since I've last saw a B32-8WH !

Train 9 : Metrolink #660 with F59PH #857 & CabCar #684.

Train 10 : Amtrak 769 with CabCar #6905 & F59PHI #453. Friendly engineer on Amtrak 769 with a wave as he passes by.
