Vintage Ribbon Microphone Shootout RCA, B&O, Shure

Описание к видео Vintage Ribbon Microphone Shootout RCA, B&O, Shure

Here’s a shootout of 5 different ribbon microphones from the 1940’s - 1960’s!

Here’s the list of microphones used:
RCA 74-B
Bang and Olufsen BM2
Shure 330
RCA SK-46
Bang and Olufsen BM3

Since this video is a bit longer, here is a list of different times that the microphones are used for reference:

RCA 74-B: Guitar Cab ( 00:40 ) Acoustic ( 03:30 )
Bang and Olufsen BM2: Guitar Cab ( 01:14 ) Acoustic ( 03:45 )
Shure 330: Guitar Cab ( 01:48 ) Acoustic ( 03:56 )
RCA SK-46: Guitar Cab ( 02:23 ) Acoustic ( 04:08 )
Bang and Olufsen BM3: Guitar Cab ( 02:56 ) Acoustic ( 04:19 )

I tried to play a straightforward chord progression for easy comparison. No pre’s / cloudlifter / plug in’s / etc. were used - this is signal straight into a UAD Apollo. Obviously these mic’s will sounds different in each space (I’m in a small apartment), but hopefully this will help give you a feel for what it could sound like with your space / gear.
