I had arrived in Delhi at 2am where my friends Shanu and Sahil picked me up. They were going to be travelling to their home in Kashmir soon, and invited me to join them. For decades, Kashmir has been caught in the centre of an intense power struggle over disputed territory, and according to the BBC is one of the most militarised places on Earth. I wondered if I was being blissfully ignorant to the situation that I was getting myself into, and I wouldn't even have any mobile reception in Kashmir with my Indian SIM card so I wouldn't be able to contact the embassy or insurance in the event that something did happen. I was truly getting out of the comfort zone and going into the unknown, and I have to say that it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. When we were in a tuk tuk driving to the bus stop, on the back window of a taxi in front of us I saw the words "a good traveller is one that doesn't know where he is going, but has the trust that it will be great." It was a sign, and in that moment I could trust that everything will be okay. I am grateful to everyone I met on this adventure and for the most open and welcoming hospitality that I received. It was a beautiful and authentic experience and I am happy and excited to share this film with you all...
