The difficulties you encounter are often caused by karma — the seeds left behind by your past words, actions, and thoughts, which eventually become the fruit of your destiny.

The Buddha does not teach you to pray for good relationships. Instead, he teaches you to see clearly your own patterns, your attachment, your fears, your needs. Once you see these clearly, you break the karmic cycle.

Changing karma begins with awareness. Spiritual practice is not about escaping reality, but about clearly seeing the truth within reality, and choosing a wiser response.
