Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, people have searched for reliable sources and information about the virus. The Hariri Institute teamed up with researchers from our AI in Healthcare Focused Research Program (FRP) to discuss COVID-19 misinformation, combatting its spread on social media, and how to find reliable information on the virus and pandemic. We spoke with researchers Nina Cesare (Postdoctoral Scholar, BU School of Public Health) and Gianluca Stringhini (Assistant Professor, BU College of Engineering) about their research into COVID-19 misinformation and its spread on social media.
