How to Change the Rear Differential Fluid on a 1988-1998 Silverado K1500

Описание к видео How to Change the Rear Differential Fluid on a 1988-1998 Silverado K1500

I changed the fluid in my rear differential in my 1998 Chevy Silverado 1500. All-in-all it was about a 2-hour process. It took that long simply because I was painting my rear diff case cover. If you are doing a simply fluid change, it will not take you that long as long as you have the appropriate tools. Some of you may notice that I used 75w-90 gear oil vs the manual recommended 80w-90. That is because I talked to several mechanics and looked through several forums and found that the general consensus is that 75w-90 is actually an upgrade for these model trucks.

Stay tuned and don’t forget to comment, like and subscribe. I am going to be throwing together mini-series of all the vehicles I work on and all other vehicles we work on including my any of my friends.
