When Authors Go Wrong || What Happened to Bill Gothard?

Bill Gothard was a notable Christian minister, speaker, and writer who began developing a Bible-based teaching program in the early 1970’s.
He took his platform right around the same time that American culture was experiencing a major shift in freedom and expression with adolescents and youth.
Though Bill never married or had children, he founded a homeschooling curriculum that became popular with many families, called the “Institute in Basic Life Principles.”
This curriculum centered heavily around character building skills for children and on living a godly lifestyle.
Bill’s curriculum and teachings seemed Biblically sound and, honestly, pretty great!
So what happened?
