On the same day as Senator Cory Booker passed Strom Thurmond as the longest speech ever in the history of the senate floor, the HHH CLOSED the Healthy aging branch of the CDC which covers Alzheimer’s research.

I cared for a family member who lived out of town, for 1.5 years who had dementia. Alzheimer’s is a form of dementia. Trust me, you don’t want dementia!! Not for your own brain, nor to need that level of care from others. Where will the coverage be for those caring for the needy? I ‘paid’ thousands by not working in order to care for my parent. That was My choice, and one I was ok making. But, not everyone can do that. And, I would have preferred to be able to make the money, don’t get me wrong. And, I believed the care of my parent was something important enough to make the sacrifice.

Congress just re-authorized the funding for the Healthy aging branch of the CDC , too!!! It has been authorized by Congress & the rampant cuts are hitting this area, for No Good Reason! #alzheimers #senator #babblebetter #clearspeech #wecandobetter #corybooker
