Our Opponents' Plans are Gone for Good in Orzhov Exiling Superfriends Control! (Pioneer League)

Описание к видео Our Opponents' Plans are Gone for Good in Orzhov Exiling Superfriends Control! (Pioneer League)

With the most popular deck in Pioneer, Izzet Phoenix, somehow avoiding any kind of nerf or ban, the format is sure to be rife with birds and Treasure Cruises. Sure, there are plenty of good sideboard options to deal with recursive decks, but there are also a wealth of cards that are viable as mainboard interaction and send cards straight to the exile zone, do not pass the graveyard, do not collect $200! Vanishing Verse is cheap, versatile and instant speed! It's good against everything from aggro where it answers aggressive attackers to control where it can hit those Wandering Emperors! It answers (theoretically) every nonland card type and, of course, it exiles, so those Phoenixes will not be coming back! Fable of the Mirror Breaker, Old Growth Troll, Kiora and Liliana of the Veil are cleanly and permanently banished by the Verse! Not on My Watch exiles attacking creatures instantly for 2 mana, so it's also efficient and effective against birds, Kroxas etc, sending those threats to the void for cheap! Agonizing Remorse and Sour Search are Thoughtseize effects that exile, allowing us to proactively shut down any dreams of recursion of our opponents! Settle the Wreckage is the greatest gotcha of all time, exiling whole boards full of attackers and making for incredible blowouts! Yes, our motto here is interact and exile! In a format full of Fatal Pushes and Go for the Throats, we're going to use Planeswalkers to beat down our depleted foes after we've picked their hands and boards cleans! We're packing a smorgasbord of Gideons, Sorins and Liliana, Dreadhorde General as wincons! their token production and potency as attacking threats and removal pieces will grind our opponents into dust! In particular, of course, the Wandering Emperor is a token producer that, you guessed it, can also exile our opponents' stuff. Of course, as an Orzhov deck, we're packing all of the interaction and meta hate you could hope for in a 75! It's a deck that answers the question: why sideboard it when you can mainboard it? it may be good against Phoenix, but can it withstand the tide of aggro and comboish shenanigans that are on the rise in Pioneer? Let's find out!
