It sorta stings the pride, because of course you know there are things hidden in the world, but one just can't go around sitting on every pipe there is to find all day long. In life, there's other stuff to do. So I'm sorry for the annoying condescension, but that was a clue, dummy. Somewhere around here there's a link to an unlisted video, but you can only watch it if you go look in some of the pipes. Or don't; you choose your own level of involvement. It's not like you'll be missing much. But alas, for us completionists, the burden is just too great, and we must prove ourselves worthy by finding all 120 stars. Check the obvious places first→once those have been exhausted, whatever remains, however unlikely, must contain your egg.

And for the record, I'm only a pseudo-completionist.
Sure, I might start out with the intention to gather every seashell, musical note, and Korok seed; but I rarely get through the first quarter of a game before moving on. It's like a pathological procrastination: suspend the pleasant experience indefinitely, and thus prolong well-being through the sheer force of disappointment displacement. As though one can live forever. The voice suggests, collect everything you can, squirrel, in case there's a world-ending event. "Time Enough at Last!"

Meh. Eggs are rarely very rewarding anyway. As much as I enjoyed Anaconda and Astrolander, I expect—should I ever revisit the Robot Factory (on Hard)—to realize that Retroracer is a huge let-down. Specially after 20 years now.
