Live Interview with Prof Abdon Atagana on Pi-View Space (1-1-Talk)

Prof. Abdon Atagana received the sentinel award in science in 2016 for my work in mathematics peer review. According to the Web of Science, my paper received the most citations worldwide for mathematics in 2017. For my contributions to mathematics and its applications in 2018, I received the Obada Prize in Egypt.
He became the first highly cited mathematician from an African country in 2019 (Highly Cited Researchers have established a strong and widespread impact as evidenced by publishing numerous highly cited papers over the previous ten years). One in 1,000 scientists and social scientists worldwide are Highly Cited ResearchersTM.
He later received the inaugural TWAS-Mohammad A. Hamdan Award in 2020.
He became the second mathematician working in South Africa to be elected to the World Academy of Science in 2022 after the first one in 2003. I was placed second in general mathematics by the Stanford list in 2022. From 2022 until 2026, I was chosen Chairman of the African Mathematical Union's Commission of Research and Innovation.
