The variety of marigold I grew in this video is called Naughty Marietta which is a French marigold. This heirloom variety of Tagetes patula is known for its cheerful golden yellow petals accented with rich maroon centers. Compact and fast-growing, Naughty Marietta typically reaches a height of 10 to 12 inches and spreads about 6 to 9 inches wide, making it an ideal choice for container gardening, window boxes, raised beds, and even companion planting in vegetable gardens. Growing it is easy. It thrives in full sun, prefers well draining soil, and is both drought tolerant and pollinator friendly.
