1. Know the Exam Pattern

IBPS Clerk Prelims & SBI Clerk Prelims:
Quant Section → 35 Questions, 35 Marks, 20 minutes

Mains Exam:
More focus on Data Interpretation, Arithmetic, Word Problems, and Applied Maths

So, in prelims → speed + accuracy, and in mains → concept + application are key.


2. Focus on High-Weightage Topics

For Prelims Quant (Target 35/35):
Simplification/Approximation → 5–10 Qs
Number Series → 5 Qs
Quadratic Equations → 5 Qs
Arithmetic Word Problems (Ages, Partnership, SI-CI, Profit-Loss, Time & Work, Pipes, Time-Speed-Distance, Mixture) → 10–12 Qs
Data Interpretation (Tabular, Bar, Pie, Line) → 5–10 Qs

For Mains Quant:
Data Interpretation (Caselet, Missing DI, Arithmetic-based DI)
Data Sufficiency
Quadratic/Arithmetic Inequalities
Advanced Arithmetic (Mensuration, Probability, Permutation & Combination)

3. Build Speed + Accuracy
Learn calculation shortcuts (multiplication tricks, squares, cubes, tables up to 30, fractions to % conversions).
Practice 20–25 simplification/approximation sums daily.
Solve mock papers in a timed environment.

4. Follow a Daily Practice Plan
1 hr → Speed Maths (Simplification, Approximation, Series, Quadratic)
1 hr → Arithmetic (one topic daily + previous year questions)
30 min → DI/Caselets
30 min → Timed sectional test

5. Analyze & Revise
Attempt previous year papers of IBPS & SBI Clerk to understand question level.
Revise formulas, ratios, percentages, and shortcuts regularly.
