Today I want to share how to remove the mineral deposits left behind on your plastic blender from fruits, vegetables, and water. The first thing you will want to do is fill half of your blender with white distilled vinegar and the other half with warm water. The water and vinegar will help to breakdown the deposits and make scrubbing away the stains much easier. You will leave this solution to soak in the blender for about 8 hours or overnight. Once the blender is done soaking, you will want to pour out the water and vinegar solution and start to create your baking soda and vinegar paste which will be used to scrub off the mineral stains and deposits. To make a paste, combine baking soda and white distilled vinegar. I used about a tablespoon of vinegar and a generous amount of baking soda adding a little bit of each until I got to my desired consistency of toothpaste. From here I used several brushes to scrub away the stains. I do want to make a note that I completely forgot to start filming when I first started scrubbing so this was shot a little bit into the cleaning process as you can see the blender isn’t as dirty at this point as it was in the beginning of the video. For this project, a toothbrush and two of my juicer brushes. The more heavy duty the brush, the easier it was to clean the blender. I definitely had to put some effort into this and use some good ole elbow grease. I scrubbed, rinsed, and repeat a several times until all stains were removed. Once I was done I was completely blown away by the results. I did find that it was hard to scrub on and around the blade but other than that I can place my blender back on my countertop without the embarrassment of the stains! To prevent the mineral deposits from reforming, immediately clean your blender after use and dry with a towel. When your cleaning the blender, be careful, those blades are sharp!!
