Tutorial for creating sequential numbers on Avery Labels with Microsoft Word 2007 and Microsoft Excel 2007. This may work with other versions, such as Word 2010, Word 2013 and Word 2016, and Excel 2010, Excel 2013 and Excel 2016.
The concept should be the same for them all. Print sequential numbers on an Avery mail label using the mail merge function in Word, and the numbering function in Excel.
Avery is a company that makes those printable sheets with labels on them. After printing, the labels can be peeled off and applied to another surface, such as an envelope.
Mail merge is a function in Microsoft Word which allows you to import, or merge, information form another source, such as a list in Microsoft Excel. Heavy use of the function allows you to create Word template-like documents without data, and do imports of changing data in an Excel spreadsheet; using the Excel document as a database. But in the video's case, we are just adding sequential numbers to labels. If you know how to use formulas in Excel, you can get fancy and only have odd numbers, or every base 10 number, and so on.
