Ocean Hugs：Coral Restoration in Penghu

Wiwynn, long committed to sustainable environmental and community well-being, has announced its sponsorship of the Penghu (澎湖) Hangwan (杭灣) Coastal Afforestation and Coral Restoration Project in collaboration with the Penghu County Government and the Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation (TOAF). Since launching the Ocean Hugs initiative in 2021, Wiwynn has aimed to use the ocean as a starting point for fostering a symbiosis between marine and terrestrial ecosystems through actions like building forests on sand. Through this partnership with the Penghu County Government and the TOAF, an additional 10,000 saplings and 8,000 corals will be planted and restored. This effort not only protects the coastline but also contributes to the coral ecology and biodiversity in Taiwan. Additionally, it aids global carbon reduction through natural carbon sequestration.
