"What We Share" (Original Version) by Marcel Dominic (Percussive Fingerstyle Acoustic Guitar)

Описание к видео "What We Share" (Original Version) by Marcel Dominic (Percussive Fingerstyle Acoustic Guitar)

As an emotionally charged snapshot of life "What We Share" delineates bitter lonliness while trying to conciliate that lonliness with new gained - and rightful - hope for brighter days of connection.

Communicating and sharing what is locked off or locked up in the head or heart can make the difference to how the world around sees us and we it. Opening up in the right way, and to the right people can support incredible chances. Opportunities emerging from the shadow of pain can often bring unknown joy, a new outlook on life and possibly new, deep felt purpose.

After a contemplative intro, the verse commits to conveying isolation and sorrow. When we approach the pre-chorus things seem to light up and show the listener new perspective. The siblings sympathy and empathy take our hand to guide us, gently and patiently. They tell us that it is okay. We can and should open up, they communicate to us. Open up to new people, and by doing so releasing ourselves, in order to becoming able to embrace possibilites of friendship and more. Who knows just how much we might have in common, if we dare not speak? And so we dare.

When we arrive at the chorus we commit fully. We let go and accept the flood of stimuli washing over us in this unexpected, exciting moment. Maybe it heralds the beginning of a new chapter.

The cycle repeats. We continue learning something new and we continue having setbacks, we make mistakes. It is okay though, as we have learned. Because the difficulties that seem to wear us down, also seem to be the very reason we are getting closer to a better place for us.

The knot loosens up and we are at ease. We do not rush or overdo it, but know the right time has come to engage in the joy we could see before already.

One last time we return, if briefly. Reflect on the grief which now appears docile and friendly. A guidepost even. With this thought in mind we can now smile.
