Banished (Hard/Harsh) - Part 1: "A Fresh Start"

"Banished" is a 2014 city-building, survival strategy game. It was developed by a single person over the course of 3 years and is one of the most interesting indie titles to emerge recently (that's my opinion obviously, what else would it be?). The only objective of the game is merely to survive. You start with a dozen or so citizens who have recently been "banished".. exiled from their hometown. Starvation, hypothermia and natural disasters are some of the constant threats that you need to beware of and safeguard against. It is very easy for a single mistake or overlooking to result in a ghost town. I will attempt to steer my band and cart towards a bustling, stable metropolis of 1000 citizens. If I am successful, I may push to see just how far I can go..

Hard means initial starting conditions are really bad. Harsh means the winters are long and brutal. Valleys is arguably the easier of the two settings, but I want as much of dat lebensraum as possible. Likewise for large.
