This is the first documentary made by The Conservation Front. In this episode we travel to Bali to meet the people of the Bali Reptile Rescue Centre. It is their mission to conserve snakes and educate the local people. The king cobra especially suffers on this island. It is threatened by habitat loss, the illegal pet trade and direct conflict with humans. The breeding season is the most vulnerable time the year. The females often make a nest on farmers land, resulting in them being shot and their eggs burned. In this documentary we take you on a journey showing the hardships these beautiful snakes endure and the people who dedicate their life to their conservation.

The Bali Reptile Rescue Centre is doing crucial work. Not only for snake conservation but also for the local people. The education they provide helps to reduce human-snake conflict an minimise risks of either snakes or people getting killed. In order for their work to continue and expand they need help.
