Miami Dolphins 2013 Season Preview is the second in the series of previews for the upcoming 2013 NFL season. There are several areas covered over the course of the video. Second year Quarterback Ryan Tannehill kicks off the discussion with a look at his statistics from both college and his rookie season. He is one of my two players along with Lamar Miller that I Pinpoint to succeed this coming season. The key addition of Mike Wallace and former New York Jet Dustin Keller cannot be forgotten as they along with veterans on the Dolphins roster such as Brian Hartline help to provide a much improved offensive skill group that can only help improve Tannehill and surely result in an accelerated growth under center. Mike Pouncey, John Jerry and Richie Ingcognito help to provide a very stable interior of the offensive line that should allow the dolphins to run the ball. The winner of the dolphins running back competition should find holes open up easier than they did in past years. Moving onto the defensive side of the ball you have to start with Cameron Wake and his 15 sacks from one year ago, along with rookie Dion Jordan, Randy Starks, Jared Odrick and Paul Soliai this may be one of if not the best front seven in football. This group will be good against the run and elite in rushing the passer. Reshad Jones and Chris Clemons provide a nice safety tandem who have good instincts especially in pass coverage. The Cornerback position is less set however, the offseason addition of Brent Grimes can only help the group. The additions of Jamar Taylor and Will Davis in the 2013 NFL Draft clearly demonstrate a shift towards youth in the back end. The special teams unit is expected to continue to be very good however, the kicking competition needs to sorted soon. I expect Dan Carpenter to win the job leaving Caleb Sturgis to be a free agent. Overall Miami will have a good season and will be vastly improved upon the team from a few years ago.
