Watch a brand-new train bogie come to life inside a modern factory—from raw steel and forged axles to a fully assembled bogie ready to ship. This video shows the full manufacturing process with close-up machines, heavy welding, and precise assembly work.
You’ll see wheelset “birth” on a hydraulic press (press-fit wheels onto the axle), CNC wheel machining on a wheel lathe, and bearing + axlebox assembly with torque-mark verification. Then we move to the giant fabrication hall where robot welding builds the bogie frame in a massive jig, followed by grinding, NDT inspection, and 3D metrology. After primer and a final satin silver-grey protective coat, the line continues with suspension installation (springs, dampers, air springs), brake hardware (discs, calipers, pneumatic lines), and an optional traction motor + gearbox module.
Finally, the wheelsets “marry” the frame, the finished bogie runs on a roller test rig, and the unit is strapped into a shipping cradle, wrapped, and loaded onto a flatbed truck.
